Hi, I’m Rebecca Santo, a photographer based in Wirral, UK, here to capture the world through its most joyful lens.
Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up alongside a Rottweiler, a German Shepherd, and a Border Collie, and somewhere in all that fur I found my favourite thing in the world: the bond between people and their animals. Dogs are my first love, but my passion is animals of all kinds, and I’m always delighted when my photographs find new life in the hands of artists around the world, reimagined across all sorts of mediums.

I’m a self-confessed crazy dog lady, and proud of it. I’m happiest rolling around in the mud with a dog, out chasing wildlife, exploring the hills, or following the river to find that perfect natural spot where true character shines. My inspiration and best friend was Maizie, a Border Collie who joined me on shoots well into her later years. She’s no longer with me, but her spirit is in everything I do.

My work also stretches into portraits, street photography, wildlife photography, aerial circus photography, and corporate branding. Whether it’s the raw power of an aerial performer, the playful spirit of a pet, or the personality of a small business, my goal is always the same: affordable, affectionate, authentic photography that tells a real story. For me, the magic has never been about expensive equipment. It’s about curiosity, connection, and having fun.

Teaching is where I find my greatest joy. Through Studio Seven Workshops, I run friendly, hands-on photography sessions covering street photography, dog photography, and more. Watching how photography and art can genuinely change someone’s life, build their confidence, and open up a whole new way of seeing the world is the most rewarding part of what I do. That, to me, is true job satisfaction, because I believe great photography is something anyone can learn to create.
